Beemerang - Stages 3 and 6
Stages 3 and 6 were run in the Beemerang Road area of Vulcan State Forest.
Stage length - 18.33km. Fastest time 10:25 (105.58km/h) Ron Moore (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO6)
Because of logistics and time constraints on the day I could only get to two of the stages to take photographs. As the Beemerang stage was some distance from Black Springs and getting to the good photo locations meant either a longish navigation along the forest boundary or a several hundred metre walk across some rough country I restricted my photography to the other two stages. I went back out a couple of days later and made this video from inside the car. There are a couple of obvious edits, mainly because I thought I was lost and retraced my steps but I found out that I hadn't been lost at all - I was wrong about being wrong. I also edited out the pause while I considered fording a stream with water well over the road. Conditions for the rally itself were dry and very dusty, but significant rainfall over the next two days laid the dust but raised creek and river levels.
