Wombat Road - Stages 1 and 4
The Wombat Road stage ran south from Riverview Forest Road.
Stage length - 11.03km. Fastest time 7:09 (92.56km/h) Ron Moore (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO6)

I went out a few days later (after some rain had brought the dust down to a non-suffocating level) to make a video of this stage, but a combination of Murphy's Law, problems with the map I was using, problems with the person using the map, or possibly a combination of all three meant that I got a bit lost. The video below shows the first and last parts of the stage. I still have no idea how I got from one to the other. There was some excitement, however, and you can read an anecdote about that here.
