2023 Dimension 1 Oberon Forest Rally Stage 2 Barrakee
Murphy's Law was in full force while I was out taking these photos. There were intermittent rain showers which did nothing to reduce the dust, but despite my best efforts to keep the camera under cover it it got a bit wet. This didn't seem to affect the operation of the thing at all until I noticed that there was condensation on the inside of the UV filter at the front of the lens. This made photos look like they were being taken in fog or a dust cloud, but Photoshop was able to repair most of the damage. I took the filter off for the rest of the photos, but the condensation and the lack of the filter both changed the way the camera saw colours. Photoshop worked again, but it's obvious that colours changed throughout the sequence. The rain finally went away and the weather was beautiful, Until I started to walk the kilometre back to the car, at which point it poured and only stopped when I got to the car in wringing wet clothes. |
